Hiya Joseph!
Welcome to planDisney! In just a few short weeks it looks like you are having a grand ol' time with many loved ones!
Securing
Dining Reservations for a large party can be a bit difficult these days at Walt Disney World. Since everyone can book their dining reservations 60 days before their visit it has been competitive. Everyone wants some delicious food on their special vacation at Walt Disney World Resort!! However, if you are a guest at a Walt Disney World Resort, you have a
big advantage over everyone else, you can book 60 days out from the first day you arrive and then for your entire trip up to 10 days. This gives you several days' advantage over non-Resort Guests. I suggest if you are a Disney Resort guest book the hardest reservation to get on the last day of your trip as you will be competing with fewer people.
In addition, it is a very smart strategy to break down a party of 10 into two groups of 5. This would make securing a reservation a bit easier to accomplish. However, these two reservations must be made by two different
My Disney Experience accounts. One person with an account cannot make two reservations at the same time for the same place. One will get canceled. My husband and I have our own accounts and have worked together to book dining reservations for the large parties we like to travel with. We both look for a desired reservation and when we book the times we make sure they are no more than 15 minutes apart from each other. Sometimes finding the same time for both is hard but if you can get them to be 15 minutes apart or closer it will greatly help to increase the chances of you all being able to be seated at the same time and maybe even next to each other. My big tip to have a better chance of being able to sit together is to have everyone arrive at the restaurant a minimum of 20 minutes prior and kindly speak to the Cast Member at the front. Let them know that you have two reservations that are within 15 minutes of each other and that your entire party is here. It is not guaranteed but I have had this work for 90% of the time.
I do hope this helps and if you have any more questions please feel free to
let me know.
Happy Planning!
