Are dinng plans coming back this year. Or will it just be paying as you go? Also first time ever in my 40 years of going on hoilday outside of the uk. Will he my first time flying And where else could I come but to you.

    Hiya, Darren!

Welcome to planDisney! We're so happy that you found us hEAR. I'm Kristen, and I'm your planEAR today!

Oh Boy! This sounds like a very jolly holiday indeed, Darren, and I'm so excited for you! Be sure to request complimentary celebration buttons to mark this special occasion. These pieces of flair come in a few different phrases but you'll for sure need a "First Time Visitor" button as well as an "I'm Celebrating" badge. Be sure to wear them daily for Mickey and all of his pals to see so they can celebrate your magical vacation with you! These can be found at the Front Desk of your Disney Resort Hotel, any in-park Guest Relations location, most shops, and sometimes even at dining locations.

The short answer is no, Dining Plans are not available at this time.

The longer version is that Disney Dining Plans at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida were paused due to the pandemic and we haven't yet hEARd about their return. Based on other WDW staples that recently came back online, my guess is that if these popular plans were to return, they wouldn't do so until after your vacation dates. Mickey's Original House of Disneyland Resort in Southern California used to offer pre-paid dining vouchers a long time ago, however, this system had not been available for many yEARs prior to the pandemic. One extra level of fun (ie: confusion) is that some Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotels do currently have packages that include or offer the ability for their Guests to purchase discounted 'Disney Dining Cards.' These are basically declining balance Disney Gift Cards that can only be redeemed at Quick Service Dining Locations that come with slightly more value loaded onto them than what the purchaser ends up paying. (These sadly cannot be purchased from a Disneyland Resort Hotel, only a Good Neighbor property.)

I'm so sorry that this might not have been the answer you were sEARching for, Darren, but I hope it helped to clEAR up your question! Be sure to keep up with the Disney Parks Blog in these last weeks leading up to your Best! Vacation! Ever! as they are the official source of the newest Disney Parks news straight from Mickey himself. They'll soon post all of the top tips and foodie guides of what you simply cannot miss.
