    I have dinner reservations scheduled at 5:15pm at Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom. It looks like the park closes at 6pm that day. Would we be able to catch a bus back to our hotel after dinner?

    My family trip this year began with a meal at Rainforest Cafe® at Disney's Animal Kingdom with my family and friends in town. We had an 8:00 pm reservation on a day when Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park closed at 8 pm. By the time we finished our meal, it was almost 10 pm. I was nervous when I walked toward the bus stops as I was unsure how I was returning to my Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised to find several Cast Members stationed by the bus terminal. They were tasked to get the last guests home and found me a bus to my Resort. I had to share the bus with guests from a nearby Resort but I was grateful for the transportation "home."

    Now, the official answer is that bus service ends one hour after the closing of Disney Theme Parks to the Disney Resort Hotels. My situation may be unique but this was the second time in the last few months that the amazing Cast Members got me on a bus to my Resort due to a late dining reservation. Just in case it does not work out the same for you, be prepared to hail an Uber or Lyft to get you back to your Resort. A great option to also consider is the Minnie Van™ Service. This is a paid service but it is operated by Disney Cast Members who can safely get you to your Resort in style. You will need the Lyft app to connect to this service but I love the included car seats and efficiency.
