Hi, we have dinner reservations at 50's Prime Time Cafe on March 14, 2010 at 545. Will we have enough time to eat, and then be able to see Fantasmic? Would we be better off eating at one of the Fantasmic dinner package restaurants?

    Hi Kim!

For many years, I would have said "yes".  But with Disney not offering Fantasmic! every night these days, I'm afraid my answer is 'no".  In my opinion, the absence of Fantasmic! every night is creating crowd problems on the nights it is running.

Fantasmic! is scheduled for 8:00 on March 14th.  Because it is not being shown on the 12th or 13th, I believe there will be a lot of people at the Studios on the 14th just to watch the show.  If you've never seen Fantasmic!, it is absolutely spectacular!  The best nighttime show at Walt Disney World in my opinion.  I think it should be offered every night.  To get in you will have to be at the stadium at least one hour before the show; to get a good seat, I think you will have to get in even before that.

Since I usually plan on spending an hour to an hour and a half at Table Service restaurants, I don't think you have enough time.

I was never a big fan of the Fantasmic! Dinner Packages as the reserved seating was not in the best location.  However, with Fantasmic! not running every night and having large crowds on the nights it is running, I have changed my position.  I now recommend the package if you can afford it.

Good luck and have a magical vacation!
