Hi Meera!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. Making
advance dining reservations might just be my favorite part of the entire Disney vacation planning process –– not only do those reservations help to anchor my plans each day, but I also get to start dreaming up all the meals I'll be enjoying during my stay. Since it sounds like you've already got meals on your mind, let me share a few details about how dining and park hopping work together, to help you as you plan your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit.
If you're planning to use the
Park Hopper option during your vacation, I'm happy to report that you're welcome to book an advance dining reservation for your second Walt Disney World theme park. Just remember that Park Hopping doesn't begin until 2:00 PM each day, so you'll want to be sure to make your EPCOT dining reservation after that time if you're planning to visit Magic Kingdom Park first. While you can begin making those dining reservations up to 60 days in advance, if you're staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel or campground, you'll be able to book reservations for your entire length of stay (up to 10 days) at the 60-day mark.
One other thing to keep in mind is that you
must enter the park where you have a
Disney Park Pass reservation before you can Park Hop to another park. That means if your plans change and you decide to only visit EPCOT that day, you'll either need to tap your
MagicBand (or another ticket method) at the main entrance of Magic Kingdom Park or modify your existing Disney Park Pass reservation before you can enter EPCOT for dinner. If you decide to switch which park you'll be visiting first that day, you can easily do this from the
My Disney Experience mobile app (subject to Disney Park Pass availability).
I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney, Meera. I hope your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit is filled with lots of pixie dust and plenty of delicious dishes from start to finish!
Happy Planning,
Amy
