I have dinner reservations at 2:00 for a park I am hopping to. Which is now At 2:00. Can I enter the park a couple minutes early to make it to the dining reservation? Or will they hold til I get there?

    Welcome to planDisney, Robin!

Thanks for choosing to be our Guest. When it comes to planning my own Walt Disney World vacations, I get very excited about all the amazing dining options. Like Anton Ego from Ratatouille, I don't just like food, I LOVE it! On my last visit, I had a very tasty meal at Space 220. The steak was out-of-this-world and the Chocolate Cheesecake was heavenly.

Guests with the Park Hopper Option can only enter their second park from 2:00 PM. Having a dining reservation won't give you early access. However, you'll be pleased to know that there's a 15-minute grace period for dining reservations. Therefore, Disney will hold your reservation if you're a little bit late. Just make sure you're at the gate at 2:00 PM and that you make a beeline to your restaurant.

If you're feeling nervous about your reservation, you can always try modifying it on the My Disney Experience Mobile App. This isn't always possible. However, sometimes a later time becomes available if someone cancels. This has happened to me many times before. In fact, on my most recent Disney trip, I modified a few dining reservations by 10-30 minutes and it really made a difference. Therefore, keep checking in the build-up to your trip.

I hope that's helpful, Robin. Have a delicious Disney vacation.
