    Hi! We have dinner reservations at 1900 Park Fare one evening at 6:00, and Magic Kingdom is closes at 4:30, I suppose for a private event. What will be the best way for 7 of us to get back to Port Orleans Riverside?

    Hi Heidi!

    Once a year one of the Disney Parks will close early for a very special event for cast appreciation purposes. This is likely the day you are speaking about during your upcoming vacation.

    There are several options for you to return to your Port Orleans Riverside Resort after dinner. You can certainly take a taxi and have the bell staff call for a larger van so you all can travel together. There are also Uber and Lyft services available on property if you have downloaded those apps to your phone.

    I would recommend you possibly consider extending your evening and head to Disney Springs. You can hop on one of the buses right there at the Grand Floridian. The evenings are so enjoyable to walk around this great new shopping and dining Mecca. Street entertainment is often found in the evening from musicians to magicians. If you have any extra room after a great dinner at 1900 Park Fare head over to Sprinkles Cupcakes. And if you are still full go ahead and buy one or two and take them back to your room. I have found they are awful yummy for breakfast too. My favorite flavor is salted caramel. Better yet, enjoy a hot fudge sundae and then take the cupcake home with you. The way I see it you walk enough while at Disney what is a few more calories!

    You can catch your resort bus from Disney Springs and these buses run late into the early hours so you won’t have to worry about making it home.
