Can we make dinner reservations for 5:30 in MK on a holiday party night without tickets to party?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Margaret!

Welcome to planDisney! We are THRILLED you stopped by and are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! Get ready to experience the "Most MAGICAL Place On Earth" during the "Most Wonderful Time of the Year!" Every corner sparkles with holiday cheer, from twinkling lights on Main Street, U.S.A., to festive decor all around the parks. You are going to have a vacation filled with merry parades, joyful music, and memories that will shine brighter than Cinderella Castle at Christmas!

What a great question! On Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party days, Magic Kingdom officially closes to day guests at 6:00 p.m. That means if you don’t have a separate party ticket, you will need to wrap up your fun and head out of the park by that time. But, are you ready for some MAGICAL news?  I am VERY happy to share with you that making a 5:30 PM dinner reservation is perfectly fine even without a party ticket, since it’s before that cutoff! (Don't you just love happy endings?)

As you are planning, just be aware that Cast Members will kindly remind you that once your meal is over, you will need to make your way toward the exit, as the party guests will be arriving for their festive fun. Think of it like soaking in a little extra holiday chEAR, enjoying your dinner, and then stepping out just as the special merriment begins. It’s the perfect way to end your Magic Kingdom day on a cozy, delicious note!

If you are looking for some enchanting restaurant ideas, I would suggest somewhere like Be Our Guest for a festive farewell to your park day. You could also grab a table at Cinderella’s Royal Table and enjoy that storybook setting as your finale. Either way, it’s a wonderful way to finish strong before the Christmas fun officially kicks off for party guests. And who knows, if you catch a glimpse of the twinkling lights or hear the festive music as you head out, it might inspire you to grab those party tickets for next time!

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
