if we have dinner reservations at 630 at mickeys backyard bbq and will be at animal kingdom, what time would we have to leave the park to get to dinner on time? And how would we get there straight from the park?PS thx for all yalls help and advice here!!

Hi Andriana! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited to help you with another fantastic trip planning question!

    Mickey’s Backyard BBQ
has always been a really fun family event! To get to Mickey’s Backyard BBQ from Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you would go to the Fort Wilderness Bus stop. When you are approaching the bus depot area, there will be a board with all of the resort hotels and their bus stop numbers. I would allow “at least” one hour travel time to get to your reservation. You never know if you may have just missed a bus, or if you may run into traffic for some reason. If you arrive early, there are plenty of things to explore at Fort Wilderness.

Last time we dined at Mickey’s Backyard BBQ seating was first come first serve. We ended up arriving a bit early and it worked to our advantage because we got a really great seat!

Make sure to put on your dancing shoes for this fun BBQ!  If you have any other questions please come back any time! I love helping guest just like you!
