Aloha and Komo mai to planDisney, Rose! I am so excited about your dinner at
Kona Cafe this week. Walking into the Grand Ceremonial House has such a special feeling to it. The decor, the magical scents, the views of Cinderella Castle... the list of its charms is long. You are going to have a magical evening.
Timing dinner to watch
Happily Ever After fireworks from
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my favorite things to do at
Walt Disney World Resort. From the current calendar, it looks like the fireworks are set to light up the sky at 9:00 pm. You are welcome to enjoy the view from the Polynesian Resort, including the pools and the beach just outside the Great Ceremonial House. If the fireworks are a priority, I would recommend making sure you arrive at
Kona Cafe by 7:55 pm, checking in as soon as you are able with an 8:15 reservation. You can also look at the
menu and have your options narrowed down a bit. I know you don't want to feel rushed at dinner, so these are a few things you can do to enjoy your time at Kona Cafe and catch as much of the fireworks as possible.
Complimentary parking is available for Guests dining at the Polynesian Resort. At the gate, tell the Cast Member you have dinner reservations and be prepared to show your driver's license or other identification and the dining reservation on the
My Disney Experience App. They will direct you to available parking.
Before you head back to your car, be sure to stop by
Pineapple Lanai. There is nothing like a DOLE Whip to top off a perfect Polynesian Resort experience.
If you have any other questions, please come back to
planDisney.
'Ohana!
