Have dinner reservations at Epcot garden grill at 5:45, but want to go to the mnsshp. Is it possible to make it, or should we change our night for Halloween party? What is the best way to get there? There are 7 of us, 3 adults, 5,4,1-1/2, and 6mths.

    Hi Stacy,

I would change either the night you plan on eating at Garden Grill or the night of the Halloween Party.  If your reservation is at 5:45, you probably won't be done with dinner until at least 7:00.  Then you'll need to make your way out of Epcot and to Magic Kingdom via monorail.  That could take you another 45 minutes or so.  It seems that the earliest you would arrive to the party would be around 8:00.  With four small children, that might be a bit late to really enjoy the party.

My experience with small children is that it's best to get to the party at the beginning of the evening.  Trick-or-treat, ride attractions, meet characters.  Then if the kids are tired, you can go home after the fireworks and still feel like you enjoyed the evening.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
