Hi Lynn
Sanaa is one of my family's top dining spots at
Walt Disney World. The last time we ate there, an African crowned crane watched us from just outside the window.
Besides the view of the animals, we love the food and the atmosphere. Do not miss the bread service with its selection of nine tasty, exotic dipping sauces.
The animals remain in the savanna all evening, though once the sun goes down, it will be a little more difficult to see them through the windows of the restaurant. Since the sun will set right around 5:30 in December, I recommend arriving a little early to get a pre-sunset look from the viewing area outside the restaurant. Then, when dinner is done, I'd head back out to the viewing area. At that time of year, there's likely to be a fire in the firepit.
We like to sit out there near the fire and watch the animals across the darkened plain. You sometimes will find a cast member there who will point out the different species in the dark and offer interesting educational information.
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please let us know if we can offer any other tips to make your vacation truly magical. Enjoy Sanaa!
