I want to make dinner reservations at Chef Mickey's on July 4th. Will there be a place to watch the fireworks from the resort? If so, what would be a good time to make the reservation so that we will be able to catch the fireworks afterward? Thanks!

    Hi Carolyn,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It's great to hear that you are making plans to dine at Chef Mickey's. Our visit to Chef Mickey's remains one of my most favorite Disney dining memories.

You already know, I’m sure, that Chef Mickey's is cooking up and dancing up some delicious fun at Disney's Contemporary Resort. If you walk from Chef Mickey’s past Bayview Gifts, you’ll see an exit/entrance that leads to the Sky Way Bridge connecting Disney’s Contemporary Resort with Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort (the Disney Vacation Club Resort).

The Sky Way Bridge faces Magic Kingdom Park. We have stopped along the Sky Way Bridge many a time during the fireworks spectaculars to take in the view. While the spot is no substitute for a prime viewing area inside Magic Kingdom Park, it's a pretty good view and better than not seeing the fireworks at all.

The fireworks typically are scheduled for 9 p.m. Be sure to check the calendars for updated information as the event approaches.

You'll also want to follow the Disney Parks Blog to stay up-to-date with all that magic that's planned.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
