If we have dinner reservations at chef mickey for 5pm, what time do we need to catch the boat from Wilderness Lodge and Magic Kingdom. Would the monorail be faster from MK?

    Hi Kolby,

If you're coming from Disney's Wilderness Lodge (my favorite resort in the whole world, by the way) to Chef Mickey's by boat, give yourself 45 minutes.  The boat ride is not long at all but you may need to wait a few minutes until the next boat arrives at the dock behind the Lodge.  (Don't get on the boat headed to the Magic Kingdom.  Get on the one going to Disney's Contemporary Resort.)  Once you arrive at the Contemporary you'll need a little time to walk from the dock to Chef Mickey's on the fourth floor.

If you're coming from the Magic Kingdom to Chef Mickey's, the monorail is the way to go.  This should take no more than 20 minutes as Disney's Contemporary Resort is the first stop on the resort monorail after you board at the Magic Kingdom.  Or, if you prefer, it's a lovely walk from the Magic Kingdom to Disney's Contemporary Resort.  (If it's hot on the day you visit, you're still better off to take the air-conditioned monorail to Chef Mickey's).

Enjoy your meal with Mickey and friends!
