We have dinner reservations at Chef Mickey during Christmas week. We will have a 2 1/2 year old dining with us. Will we be charged for her dinner?

    Hi Kathleen,

Chef Mickey's is a fun character dining experience for all ages. The Big Cheese himself and some of his best friends will stop by your table to sign autographs and pose for pictures as you enjoy your buffet meal.

Even better: Children under the age of 3 eat free at this and any other buffet at Walt Disney World! When you check in for your dinner, the host will ask how many adults and how many children are in your party. Just let them know then that you have a 2-year-old.

Children under the age of 3 also receive free admission to the theme parks and can eat free from your plate at other Walt Disney World restaurants.

My older daughter was 2 1/2 on her first Walt Disney World visit 22 years ago, and it was the beginning of a long, continuing love for the parks, characters and dining. Here's hoping this is just the beginning of a wonderful experience for your family as well.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kathleen. Please let us know if you have any other questions about planning your Christmas visit. Enjoy!
