    We have dinner reservations for California Grill at 5:30 on a day we will be at Magic Kingdom. Approximately what time and mode do you suggest leaving the MK in order to make our reservation? We will have a 4 year old and 1 year old in tow.

    Hi, Abbigail!

    California Grill is conveniently located in the Contemporary Resort which is just a quick 15 minute walk from the front gates of the Magic Kingdom.  Because you have little ones and will probably want to make a restroom break before heading up to the 15th floor for your dinner (check-in on 2nd floor) I would plan to leave the Magic Kingdom by 4:45 p.m.   This will give you plenty of time to get strollers organized, diapers changed, maybe toss on a fresh outfit for the kids, and any other "surprises" that parents deal with daily!

    You can also take the Resort Monorail from the Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary;  The monorail will take about the same amount of time but might be more enjoyable for your little Mouseketeers!  If you end up being early, the 4th floor of the Contemporary is wonderful with great shops, and it is so fun to watch the monorail zoom right through the concourse!

    Enjoy an amazing meal at California Grill!  What a treat!
