Hey there, Mary, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question! You’ve asked a question about my favorite Disney attraction: Disney Dining! I’ve never met a Disney meal that I did not enjoy, and I’m sure your experience at
Boma - Flavors of Africa will be just as memorable! The good thing is that calories don’t count on Disney Vacations due to all of the Theme Park walking. At least that’s what I tell myself!
Mary, I reviewed the Park Hours calendar for November 14th, and believe there are a few resort transportation options at your disposal. First, I want to mention that the
My Disney Experience mobile app is the best way to find real-time transportation options during your visit. After entering your destination, the mobile app will provide you will the best route to safely arrive at your destination. With this in mind, I recommend that you confirm the following advice with the mobile app once you are at the resort.
Since your dinner reservation is for 9:30 p.m. and Walt Disney World suggests allotting an hour of travel time to your destination, I recommend leaving your resort hotel around 8 p.m.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park closes at 8 p.m. on the 14th, and resort transportation runs for an hour after Theme Park closure. So my first suggestion is to take a bus from
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and then board the bus from the Theme Park to
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. If buses are no longer running to Animal Kingdom when you leave the resort, I recommend that you board the bus from Coronado Springs to
Disney Springs. Once at Disney Springs, you can board the next available bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. These options should get you to your dinner reservation with plenty of time to spare!
Once dinner is over, it will take a little more planning since Animal Kingdom Park will be closed. The first thing that comes to mind here is to consider a
Minnie Van. While Minnie Vans are an additional cost, they are the quickest option for navigating the resort in many instances. You could also use a Minnie Van to arrive at your dinner reservation. The Minnie Van will pick you up at the front door of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and drop you off at the front door of Disney’s Coronado Springs. If you’d like to use complimentary resort transportation to head back after dinner,
Magic Kingdom Park has a ticketed event on November 14th so the transportation options will still be available once your dinner ends. To utilize this, you will take the bus from Animal Kingdom Lodge to Magic Kingdom and then transfer to the Coronado Springs bus to go home for the night.
Whew! I hope that helps, Mary! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation,
stop back by and let me know!
You’ve got a friend in me,
