Hi there, Stephanie! Welcome to planDisney. It’s always great to help a fellow New Yorker!
Oh my goodness, your Walt Disney World Resort vacation will be here before you know it, so I'm glad to hear you are gearing up to get those Advanced Dining Reservations set! Let's be honest; the food is always the best part of any vacation, isn't it? But, of course, that goes double when it comes to all of the delicious culinary creations available at the fabulous restaurants throughout Walt Disney World! With so many awesome themes and incredible dishes to enjoy, you’re bound to find something that will blow you away. One of my favorites is Space 220 Restaurant, where you’ll hop on board the space elevator to travel 220 miles above EPCOT for your meal on the Centauri Space Station. You’ll enjoy unbelievable views, unlike anything you’ve ever seen, as you dine among the stars. You might even spot an astronaut taking his dog out for an evening float through the cosmos! Not only is the food incredibly delicious, but the whole experience is out of this world...literally!
As you mentioned in your question, you can make Advanced Dining Reservations 60 days before your arrival date, starting bright and early at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Standard Time (that’s EST.) If you’re staying at one of the Disney Resorts Collection hotels, you get the added benefit of being able to book for your entire stay (for up to 10 days) 60 days before your scheduled check-in. So, you get a jump start on securing some of those hard-to-snag reservations at Walt Disney World's most popular restaurants.
Your My Disney Experience app makes securing your Advanced Dining Reservations super simple. All you’ll need to do is follow these simple steps:
- First, log into your My Disney Experience app starting at 6:00 a.m.
- Next, click on the "+" in the middle of the menu bar.
- Select "Check Dining Availability."
- Then, add your party size, and select the date you are looking for.
- From there, choose what time or meal you are looking to reserve.
- You will then see the list of all available reservations. Select the time and restaurant that works best for you.
- Then, follow the prompts to complete your reservation, and you are all set!
Stephanie, I would recommend familiarizing yourself with the restaurant reservation cancellation policy ahead of your visit. Things change all the time when you’re on vacation! So, should you no longer be able to attend your reservation, make sure you cancel at least one day before your scheduled dining time, or a $10.00 per person late cancellation fee (this amount is subject to change) will be charged to the card put on file at the time of booking. It's important to keep this in mind as your visit approaches and you start to really finalize your daily plans. If I'm still on the fence about an Advanced Dining Reservation I've secured, I like to set a reminder on my phone for 23 hours before to make sure I cancel in time if I decide to skip it.
Thanks again for your excellent question. Please stop by planDisney again soon with any other questions we can help you with!
See you real soon!
