How do I make dinner reservations?

    Hi Meg! Welcome to planDisney.

How exciting! You are less than a week from arriving at The World's Most Magical Celebration. Do not miss enjoying some of the specialty-themed treats created just for this party 50 yEARS in the making. I enjoyed the refreshing adult libation Green Shimmering Margarita from Nomad Lounge at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

Making Advance Dining Reservations is a rather easy process, but at this short date, I will caution you may find limited selections. Also note, that reservations are only needed for Table Service locations. I like the ease of making my reservations by opening the My Disney Experience Mobile App, clicking on the "+" sign located at the center bottom of the homepage, and selecting "Check Dining Availability." You will be asked to enter your party size and date. This will generate options available. After making your selection, you will hold your reservation with a credit card. Please note, that cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance in order to avoid a cancellation fee. Because of this cancellation policy, I can often find some hard-to-come-by locations at that 24-hour mark. I secured California Grill at firework time on a recent trip only one day in advance.

Do not forget there are so many fabulous counter-service dining options throughout the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs that do not require reservations. A couple of my current favorites include Satu'li Canteen at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Capt. Cook's at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Do not forget to utilize Mobile Order on the mobile app when available to reduce wait times.

    Keeping it Magical,
