How do I make dinner reservations

Hey Cathy and welcome to planDisney!

Now isn't that just like us Louisianians to be trying to figure out the food situation first?! Well like our girl Princess Tiana we ain't got time for messin' around. It's not our style! On the 60 day mark before your vacation, log in to the My Disney Experience app on your phone. Tap the search icon at the bottom of the screen and type your restaurant of choice in the search bar. You'll then see a blue Reserve Dining icon. Just enter the size of your party,  the date you want, and your preferred time, and if there's availability you're good to go!

And now for a few pro tips from your friend on the other side ... of the internet. For Evangeline's sake, get up early on reservation day! Certain restaurants are insanely popular and may take a little finessing. For restaurants in Disney Springs, if at first you don't succeed call the restaurant directly! I've been able to get reservations at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' by calling as soon as they opened for business on the first day of my reservation window. And finally, if there's a reservation you just couldn't get, don't lose hope. Check the app frequently. People cancel all the time and you should be right there to scoop up that spot.

Cathy, I hope I've helped you dig a little deeper into dining at the Walt Disney World Resort!

    Happy planning!
