We have a dinner reservation at Magic Kingdom on a night when it is the MNSSHP. Park closes at 6, but our reservation is at 6:45. We are not doing the Halloween Party. Will we still be able to eat dinner and then leave?

Hey there, Matt, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question. Your question about a Disney dinner has me already planning my next Disney Vacation. In my opinion, Disney Dining is the best Walt Disney World Resort attraction!

Matt, I spoke with a Disney World Cast Member and confirmed that because Magic Kingdom Park officially closes at 6 p.m. EST to day Guests, you would not be able to make your dining reservation. Once the Theme Park closes at 6 p.m. EST, only Mickey’s Not-so-Scary Halloween Party Guests will be allowed to remain in the Theme Park. Since Disney dinner is always a priority, I suggest modifying your dining reservation to earlier in the evening. If you are unable to modify your reservation, there are still a few dinner options available to you. Since you will be exiting Magic Kingdom Park, you could easily hop to a monorail resort (i.e. Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa), for dinner. Persistence is crucial in this space. So if you are unable to find desired reservations on your first look, I recommend checking back daily to see if new availability opens up. In my experience, dining reservations become more readily available as I approach my arrival date.

I hope this helps, Matt! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation, stop back by and let me know

You’ve got a friend in me,
