    I want to make a dinner reservation at Chef Mickeys. We are not staying at a Disney resort. However, we will be at the Magic Kingdom that day. How long does it take to get from the MK to Chef Mickeys? Can we take the monorail and how do we get on it?

    Hi Staci,

    Chef Mickey's is a terrific place to meet characters and have a fabulous meal. Because it is located in the Contemporary resort, it is also incredibly convenient to Magic Kingdom. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the Contemporary from Magic Kingdom along the path to your left as you exit the park. Or you can hop on the resort monorail right outside the Magic Kingdom gate. The Contemporary is the first stop for the resort monorail leaving Magic Kingdom.

    When you are finished with your meal, you can return easily to Magic Kingdom on foot or by monorail. 

    Because Chef Mickey's is so popular, I suggest you make your advanced dining reservation as soon as possible to be sure you get the time and date you want.
