Hello! We have a dinner reservation for Chef Mickey's during our vacation this year. My question is, since we are only going to the resort for dinner, do we have to pay for parking? We are staying off property.

Hi there, Patricia, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Get your napkin-twirling skills ready as we head over to dinner with Mickey and his pals at the Walt Disney World Resort!

I'm so glad you'll be visiting the yummy dinner buffet at Chef Mickey's during your vacation, Patricia! If you've never been, you're really in for a treat. The food is an all-you-care-to-enjoy extravaganza of American classics, and the atmosphere is all about fun, fun, fun! Plus, you might just spot a monorail cruising by overhead during your dinner. There's nothing more Disney than that!

Chef Mickey's is located inside Disney's Contemporary Resort, and Guests with dining reservations do receive complimentary parking at the Resort hotel during their meal. When you pull into the lot, just tell the security attendant that you have a reservation. They'll take your name and direct you where to park. You'll generally be allowed about two to three hours of parking, so that should be plenty of time to eat and even explore the Resort hotel a bit if you like. If you do, then be sure to step out onto the footbridge between the main concourse and Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort for some amazing views of the Magic Kingdom Park!

Patricia, I hope this helps you plan a magical visit to Walt Disney World. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
