Is dinner at CRT overated? My daughter wanted to celebrate her birthday at the castle. Breakfast and lunch were full. I called back and made dinner reservations. She has already done Akershus so we really wanted CRT, but is it worth the $$$$? So confused!!

    Karen!

Thanks for the question from a fellow Mississippian!

I have to say when we ate at Cinderella's Royal Table for our son's birthday, I was disappointed, but my children were not!  We heard all the stories about how it was a "must-do," but only seeing the Fairy Godmother was a let-down (we weren't able to get in for breakfast, either).  However, my kids didn't know that they were missing Cinderella and were just as enchanted to be eating "in the castle"....granted they weren't the ones picking up the check.

Keep in mind it is your daughter's birthday, and she made the request.  And there is just something special about simply being in THE castle.  (And for our son's birthday, the dessert they brought to celebrate his birthday was memorable—make sure and let them know this on the reservation.)  If I were in your glass slippers, I would splurge since it is a special occasion.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
