How does dining work? Meaning, we have the second seating for dinner. What if we want to forgo that some evening and just eat casually? What about breakfast and lunch? Snacks? We never cruised before.

    Ahoy, Beth!

I'm happy to help with your question about one of the best parts of a Disney Cruise - FOOD! My number one rule before boarding a Disney ship is: show up hungry. You'll never want for something yummy to eat when sailing with Captain Mickey!

All of your meals - breakfast, lunch, and dinner, are included in the cost of your cruise. No matter the time of day, there are delicious dining options available. Each Disney ship features three themed Main Dining restaurants, where you'll eat dinner each evening. Guests are assigned a dining rotation upon check-in, and your rotation will be printed on your Key to the World card. Your serving team rotates with you to each restaurant, which is such a great feature of dining on a Disney ship! Throughout your cruise, your servers will get to know you, and can make suggestions of items on the menu that you might enjoy. I've always found them to give honest opinions and great recommendations!

You'll have a few breakfast options each day. Cabanas buffet is open each morning, as well as one Main Dining venue (check your daily newsletter for hours and locations). The same options are available at lunch, or you can visit one of the Quick Service windows on the pool deck (sandwiches, pizza, salads). If you choose not to visit the Main Dining venue you're assigned to, Cabanas offers Table Service for several hours each night. Late night snacks are available in the Adult District every evening, and the pizza window usually stays open until midnight!

Another perk of a Disney Cruise is Complimentary 24-hr Room Service. We like to order a cheese platter to munch on in the afternoon, and Mickey Ice Cream bars for a midnight snack! (Moms Panel Tip: the Mickey Bars aren't "officially" on the Room Service menu, but they will bring them by request!)

I hope this helps with your planning. Now I'm hungry - off to grab a snack! Where's a Mickey Ice Cream bar when you need one? - Diane W.
