I see when dining, that tables of 6 or more pay 18% tip on their bill. What is the standard tip for restaurants for tables of less than 6? Thks

    Hi Hazel!

A standard tip is between 15% and 20% of the total bill (before taxes, if any, are added).

The last time I was in Disney I noticed that at the bottom of my bill there was a wonderful little addition that told me the exact amount a 15% or 20% tip would be based on my dining total.  I'm not positive that every restaurant in Disney World offers this service, but definitely be sure to look at your receipt. It certainly made it a breeze to know how much to leave for the waitstaff.

How much you decide to leave is directly related to how good your service is for that meal. We usually leave a lower amount for a buffet meal because we are getting our own food. But if a waiter is really nice and we have a great experience, leaving a large tip is one way to say "thank you!".

I hope that you have a magical time in Disney! If you have any more questions, please let us know and we would love to help.
