If dining at your resort using the QSDP and your refillable mug, can you swap out your drink for a snack? I see a lot of conflicting information about this online.

    Hi Cristin,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  I am happy to see that you are planning your dining options in advance, this will make your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation even more hassle free!

Using the Quick-Service Dining Plan, guests are entitled to an entrée and a beverage when redeeming a credit.  With that being said, I have never had an issue when I have asked to switch my beverage for a dessert, either at our Resort Hotel or at Quick-Service Locations throughout the Theme Parks and Disney Springs.  Please keep in mind that technically, this practise isn’t actually part of the Quick-Service Dining Plan so it is totally up to the Cast Member’s discretion.  I have heard of instances where friends have not been able to exchange a beverage for a dessert, however it has never happened to my family or myself.

If by chance you are unable to exchange your beverage for a dessert, keep in mind that with the Quick-Service Dining Plan each person in your party is entitled to two snacks per day as well, which could be redeemed when you order your meal.

I hope you have a wonderful visit at Walt Disney World Resort, Cristin.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
