Dining Reservations for 9 at Teppan Edo on July 17 at 7:30 P.M. (ages 10 - 50). So propably 2 tables? Where would be a good place to watch Illuminations considering our dinner reservations. If not done with dinner is it possible to leave and come back?

Hi Richard!  Oh I love Teppan Edo in EPCOT. It is almost always on our dining list for our vacations!

Hmm....nine is a tough number for this restaurant since the tables comfortably seat eight but I have seen  where they do put an extra chair on the long side.  So you might all be able to sit together which would  be nice.  Put the younger and smaller bodies together and the adults at each end.

Unfortunately, you would not be able to leave your table during Illuminations.  Dinner at this restaurant is more like a dinner show and your chef comes to your table and prepares everything you will be eating that night. He or she will add a few fun things along the way and there isn't a time when you can take a break and return. When they are through with one table they move on to the next.

Sometimes you can find a perfect spot on the balcony of the Japan pavilion to watch Illuminations. It can get crowded so don't count on that for the last minute. But there are many good spots anywhere around the lake.  Try to find a place where you can see the water level as so much of the show is low.  Stay away from the bridge near the International Gateway entrance since many come there so they can make a quick exit from the park and it gets very crowded.  My best advice to finding a spot is to check out the wind.  Head in the direction where you won't have the wind blowing into your face!
