Can you make dining reservations for restaurants in the parks at 180 days if you haven't purchased your park tickets yet? Thank you for your time!

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Renee!

You've asked a great question, and you are going to love the answer: YES!

When Guests are arranging their plans for a visit to Walt Disney World, there are a lot of details that may become finalized as their arrival date gets closer. One of those details is dining.

Because Advanced Dining Reservations at Walt Disney World restaurants open up at 180 days prior to arrival, though, it's wise to secure those must-do dining experiences as soon as you can. We like to plan our daily touring around those dining reservations, making our FastPass+ plans around the meals we secured months in advance. Should your schedule change, you can easily cancel or modify those plans up to 24 hours in advance, so if you need to be a little flexible, you can be.

Because Advanced Dining Reservations are not linked to your Theme Park Tickets, you can make those reservations as soon as your 180 day window opens. In fact, Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels may make those reservations for the length of their stay, even if they have not yet purchased their theme park tickets.

Remember, you won't be able to enter a park without a ticket, so if your dining location is within a park, just be sure to purchase that theme park ticket prior to your dining reservation.

Happy planning your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Renee! Be sure to send us more questions as you think of them, too. We love to help!
