Hello and welcome to planDisney, Casey.
I'm so excited that you've asked this question, Casey. I feel like the lounge and bar areas at some of the best and most popular restaurants at Walt Disney World are this little-known secret. I really enjoy snacks and sips from the lounges around Walt Disney World property and I'm happy to report that as of yesterday the bar and lounge area is only walk-up, first-come, first-serve at the moment. Now, this could potentially change because
Space 220 Restaurant did just open yesterday but I'm hoping it will stay the same as most of the other lounges on property.
The Space 220 lounge will feature atmospheric spirits (cocktails), wine, beer and of course soft drinks as well as flight bites which are appetizers. The menu and all of the reviews that I saw yesterday look delicious. Here's what you can find on the
appetizer menu right now:
ASTRO DEVILED EGGS
(Free-Range Eggs, Maple Glazed Bacon, Scallion, Pickled Shallots, Micro Cilantro | $12)
STARRY CALAMARI
(Fried Calamari, Italian Cherry Peppers, Spicy Marinara, Roasted Pepper Citrus Aioli | $19)
BLUE MOON CAULIFLOWER
(Tempura Fried Cauliflower, Housemade Hot Sauce, Blue Cheese Dust | $17)
CHICKEN ON WAFFLE
(Fried Chicken, Smoked Bacon and Roasted Corn Waffle, Spiced Coleslaw, Bourbon Maple Glaze | $18)
SHORT RIB SLIDERS
(White Cheddar Cheese, Sriracha Aioli, Lettuce, Tomato, Butter Pickles | $18)
NEW ENGLAND LOBSTER ROLL
(Chilled Maine Lobster, Butter Toasted Bun, Celery, Chive, Lemon Mayonnaise | $34)
I plan on visiting the Space 220 lounge next week to try out some of these delicious offerings. I heard the starry calamari and the blue moon cauliflower are do not miss menu items!
I hope this helps get you excited for the Space 220 lounge. Be sure to check back here for updates or over on the planDisney Instagram page. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help. Have fun and enjoy!
