If I have dining reservations for 10 people but only 8 show up for dinner, will there be any penalties at the restaurant?

    Hi Tiffany!
Things inevitably come up during vacations (particularly with larger numbers). If one or two people are unable to make a reservation, there is not a penalty of any kind. It is if the reservation is abandoned completely that there is sometimes a penalty to the party.
That said, it is important to let the restaurant know as far in advance as you can of the change as this will impact how they seat other parties, etc.
Other things to keep in mind is that only full parties will be seated, and parties of 8 or more can sometimes be seated in smaller groups.
I would not worry too much about someone missing a meal or cancelling last minute, but it is the right thing to do to notify the restaurant (which ciould also be at check-in for the meal if you find out late). The goal is not to punish dining parties, but rather to manage the guest flow so that others may enojy the dining experience as well. You will be fine.
I hope this helps and I wish you a Magical vacation and many memorable meals!! :)
