Hiya Elise - welcome to
planDisney!
It's no problem at all to make
Advance Dining Reservations for anyone lucky enough to enjoy your company! Simply select the total number of Guests in your party when making your reservation. For each "seat" at the table, you'll see a drop-down where you can select someone from your Family & Friends list to include. If you don't select a specific person for a "seat" it will simply show as a generic "Guest 2" or "Guest 3" and so on.
The only disadvantage here is that the dining reservation will
not show up for them in their plans in their
My Disney Experience account, so you'll be responsible for making sure everyone makes it to the restaurant at the correct time! Also, as always, if you're making a dining reservation for a location inside of a Theme Park, all Guests must have
valid admission and a
Park Pass Reservation to enter the park and dine.
If your relatives have Theme Park Tickets linked to their own My Disney Experience accounts, you can still add each other as Family & Friends, even if you aren't sharing the same accommodations at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel!
This can be done online, or easily using the My Disney Experience Mobile app's new linking code feature. The two Guests who want to be connected both open the app and log in to their accounts. Then, tap the menu icon (☰) in the lower right corner, scroll down and tap
My Profile, then tap
Family & Friends List. Scroll down to the bottom and tap
Add a Guest - if you select "Scan their linking code" you'll be presented with instructions to complete the process!
Once you're linked, you'll be able to
formally include them on dining reservations, which will allow them to see the reservation in their own My Disney Experience account plans!
I hope this information is helpful as you continue planning! If you're still deciding on dining options, I highly recommend
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at
Disney's Riviera Resort - it's one of my favorites for a finer dining experience!
