Welcome to planDisney, Leydi! I'm so glad you stopped by! It sounds like you are planning quite the magical gathering at
Walt Disney World Resort, and I am happy to help you!
I am the mom of a big family, so
dining reservations for a large party are typically my specialty, but 35 people is a huge number! The maximum number of guests on a dining reservation when booking online is 20. One option is to break up into smaller groups and make multiple reservations at the same restaurant for approximately the same time. You cannot hold more than one reservation at the same location for similar times, so you will need to designate other members of your party to make the additional reservations. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your reservation time and let the Cast Member know that you are together and would like to be seated near each other, if possible. They can't always accommodate requests (and this is a big one!), but my experience has been that they do their best.
My best advice, though, is to call Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) and have a Cast Member assist you in this situation. I would do this 60 days before your arrival to increase your chances of finding availability. Now let's talk about the fun part - the restaurants!
Some Disney dining locations have more space than others. Here are some of my top picks for large parties:
- 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort (family style)
Don't be afraid of some of the less mainstream menus. My picky eaters love the African food at Boma and the German food at Biergarten. These places typically offer some standard American fare options, as well. The Cast Member you speak with may have additional recommendations based on availability.
Leydi, it is my hope that you secure the dining reservation of your dreams and that each and every one of your group has the most wonderful vacation! Please let us know if you have any more questions. We are always here for you at
planDisney!
Always Dreaming -
Elizabeth
