Hi Christopher,
Welcome to planDisney!
Let's first say HOORAY! It is exciting to see that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! I am delighted to see you trying to make
advanced dining reservations. With a party of six, make sure you are searching all restaurants. If you are searching for a specific restaurant that does not have availability, check others during that time period and make a reservation somewhere while you keep searching for availability at your preferred dining location. If absolutely nothing is available, try splitting your party into two smaller groups of three and three or four and two. Search for reservations at or around the same time period. Be sure to select a different lead person for each reservation.
If you are searching in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, try switching over to the the web-based site. Sometimes, I have success using one and not the other. Looking at your arrival date, your
advanced dining reservation window certainly should be open. If you do try to split your group and cannot find two times, keep looking. Cancelations to occur! Note that you will also need to use the online reservation system to select a different lead person for your reservation! I always pick another person travelling with me to be the lead Guest on the second reservation.
As you continue to plan, I also suggest that you view the menus of each restaurant. When we review the menus, we check the pricing and allergy information. One of our girls has significant food allergies, so she always asks to speak with the chef.
Christopher, sending a little extra pixie dust trusting that you will get those dining reservations. In the meantime, find some
matching gear for your crew and get packed! Your next Disney Day will be here soon!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
