Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, James. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! It's the very best kind if you ask me.
One of my favorite things to do at the Walt Disney World Resort is EAT. With
over 300 dining locations to choose from, Guests certainly have lots of options! I'm glad to hear you have at least one dining reservation in place. Let's chat about how you can modify it without canceling it!
Start by logging in to your
My Disney Experience account online. Find the reservation you'd like to modify in your plans. Next to that reservation, you'll see a blue button that says, "Change Reservation."Click on that button and you'll be directed to a screen that says, "Change Existing Reservation." There you can reduce the number of people in your party from four to two by changing the number of Guests in the Party Size drop-down menu. After you've changed the Party Size number, click on "Search." You should see a reservation appear with the correct number of Guests. Click on the listed time and then click on "Change" to confirm the modification. You can also make the modification on the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Click on the three little horizontal lines in the bottom right corner of the app to start. Then tap on "My Plans" and find your existing reservation. Tap on the reservation you'd like to modify and then tap on the modify icon on the next screen. Reduce your party size on the screen that says, "Modify Reservation." Select a reservation time and then tap on "Book Now."
If you experience any difficulty getting your reservation modified from four Guests to two, not to worry! Call (407) 939-3463 and a friendly Cast Member will gladly assist you. You can also stop by the check-in stand at the restaurant the day of your reservation to let them know you'll only be a party of two. You don't have to worry about being charged with that late a notice - as long as one person shows up to the reservation, you'll be just fine!
Is there another dining reservation you were hoping to book and weren't able to? The new
Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability feature on the My Disney Experience mobile app allows you to join the walk-up list at select Table-Service restaurants throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Talk about convenience!
I hope this was helpful, James. I'm wishing you a magical Disney vacation!
