Hi Brian! Welcome to planDisney!
While dining reservations are not currently limited at the Disneyland Resort, they are quite popular! I know for my last visit, I was checking the website pretty regularly in the hopes of a cancellation or two, especially at some of the more popular spots. My best advice is to grab some faith, trust, pixie dust, and some patience and continue to check back. Guests are always modifying and changing their plans and reservations can pop up from time to time, especially as you get closer to your arrival date.
If for some reason you are still unable to find a reservation, there are some options for you when you arrive in the parks! The first is the new
Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability which allows you to put your name on the list for same-day reservations at select table-service restaurants. When you open the Disneyland Mobile App once you have scanned into a park, tap into "Check Dining Availability". You should see a list of restaurants that have walk-up availability that day. This list can even change throughout the day! My fellow panelist Kamini scored a table at
Oga's Cantina during the holidays using this feature!
Another option is to ask the Cast Member at the restaurant's front podium. You never know what pixie dust you might find there! About an hour or so ahead of the restaurant opening, head on over and speak to the Cast Member to see if they have any same-day reservations available. Some of my fellow panelists and I actually got a table at
Blue Bayou Restaurant for lunch just a few weeks ago! It's certainly not a guarantee, but it sure does never hurt to ask!
Brian, I hope this is helpful in your planning! If you have any more questions, come back to see us at

Magic awaits!
