We have dining reservations at Jiko (d), Tusker House (Cb), Cinderellas Castle (Cd), Chef Mickeys (Cd), Akershaus (Cb), Brown Derby (Fan. pkg), Spirit of Aloha (d), and Planet Hollywood (d). Is there any other restaurants that are a must see while there?

    Hi Shelley,

It looks like you'll be eating VERY well on your vacation!  There are a lot of great restaurants and unique dining experiences at Walt Disney World.  You couldn't possibly experience all of them in one trip, but if you are looking for a few more suggestions, I do have a few more favorites.

For signature dining, I would suggest California Grill in the Contemporary.  The food is delicious, the view spectacular, and you can time it so that you dine during the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.  Citricos at the Grand Floridian and Flying Fish Cafe on the Boardwalk are two of my other favorite restaurants.

For some fun, unique dining experiences, try Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge or 50s Prime Time Cafe in Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Biergarten in Germany is another one of my family's favorites.

You've chosen some great character meals.  We really enjoy Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh.  The food is delicious and the character interaction is great.

If you're a fan of the popular Rainforest Cafe, you may want to consider dining at the newly opened T-Rex in Downtown Disney.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
