Hi Kristen,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question.
I’m usually the “Planner-in-Chief” for most of my family’s visits to Walt Disney World Resort, so I completely understand the challenge of getting a big group to agree about various
Disney Dining reservations… and ensuring that everyone shows up for the reservation!
Based on my experience, you shouldn’t be charged a fee if a few people don’t show up for your Disney dining reservation at the very last minute, unless it was a pre-paid experience as those locations usually have different
cancellation/refund policies. If more then 2 or 3 people are “no shows”, however, and you know this at least an hour in advance, I’d highly recommend modifying your reservation via the
My Disney Experience app, even if you absolutely need to do so to avoid a cancellation fee. Modifying your reservation might free up a table for another party which helps ensure that everyone can enjoy Disney’s dining Magic!
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
