We have dining reservations for dinner at Liberty Tree tavern and have 2 vegetarians in the party. We have just re-looked at the menu and note that there only seems to be the platter and no vegetarian option is this correct? I note the lunch menu does have

Welcome back to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Alicia!

One of my family's favorite things about a trip to Walt Disney World is the incredible dining experiences we tuck into each magical day. Your reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern is a perfect choice for dinner while touring Magic Kingdom Park. Great planning!

We, too, have a vegetarian in our family, so I understand how important it is to make sure that everyone in the party enjoys the magic of a delicious meal. It's important to do a little reconnaissance pre-trip and explore your menu options, so I'm glad that you asked this question.

In my experience, we inform the Cast Member at check-in that we have a vegetarian in our party. That Cast Member makes sure that our server will help us navigate the menu and will have the chef come to the table to discuss additional options. With so many allergies and dietary restrictions, Walt Disney World chefs are truly amazing in getting everyone deliciously fed with a little creativity and a lot of talent.

Because the Revolutionary Impossible Meatloaf is on the Liberty Tree Tavern Lunch Menu, it's quite possible (truly, no pun intended :-) ) that the chef will be able to add this to the options for those vegetarians in your party. If not, they will be able to craft a meal that is appropriate for them.

If you decide you'd like another dining option, take a look at the dinner menu for Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen, also at Magic Kingdom Park. There are so many vegetarian-friendly options on the regular menu, and I've loved everything I've ever tasted while dining here. Salads, falafel, Curried Vegetable Crew Stew (with Tofu), Perkins Thai Noodles (with tofu) are simply delicious, and the meat/seafood eaters in your party will find ridiculously delicious options as well. If you dine here, be sure to order the Kungaloosh! for dessert; I'm still dreaming about it!

We have found that dining with a group of both carnivores and herbivores in our party has been better at Walt Disney World than anywhere else on the planet. I'm sure that you will, too. Enjoy!

As you plan your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to send us more questions, Alicia. We love to help!
