on dining reservations where a credit card is required, if we will have one less diner than what was reserved, does the reservation need to be cancelled or can it be modified.

    Hi Patrick!!!

    This is a great question!!!

I will actually give you two different answers for this question.  First of all, I wouldn't call to cancel the reservation because then you may lose your desired reservation time.  You can call to try to modify your reservation party size at (407) WDW-DINE (407-939-3463.)

Or you can just keep your reservation the way it is.  Based on the Disney Dining FAQ Website, as long as you honor the reservation, then you will not be charged the $10 per person cancellation fee.  Please click on the above link to see this question/answer on the Disney website.  I would recommend keeping the reservation the way it is just in case the person you are speaking of is able to dine with you.

Please let me know how else I can help!!

    Have a magical day!!
