Hi Brittney, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I'm so excited for your upcoming Disneyland Resort vacation! And good for you for planning ahead and making a reservation for your son's birthday.
Blue Bayou Restaurant is one of my favorite spots for delicious food and a magical atmosphere.
You'll be happy to know that yes, this restaurant does accept
Disney gift cards! As a general rule of thumb, most dining and merchandise locations that accept credit cards will also accept Disney gift cards, excluding some of the food kiosks around the Parks.
Magical tip: Your son will love one of their non-alcoholic specialty drinks, such as the Louisiana Lemonade or the Mint Julep with Souvenir Glow Cube!
And since no birthday is complete without a tasty treat, you may want to consider
ordering a celebration cake to be delivered to your table at Blue Bayou Restaurant! You can select a specific theme, cake flavors, cake size, and a personalized message. Simply call (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3463 to place your order at least three days prior to your dining experience.
Your son will also enjoy celebrating with the all-new
Mickey's Mix Magic high-energy projection show, debuting January 18. You can catch the show from various area of Disneyland Park, including the water screens on Rivers of America, near Blue Bayou Restaurant.
I hope your son has the best birthday ever at The Happiest Place on Earth!
 See ya' real soon,
 Kristin C.
