Hi Margaret!
Making
Walt Disney World dining reservations can be tricky if you're unsure of how many people you will have in your party, but if you think that 7 is a possibility, make your reservations for 7 in the beginning. It is far easier to remove a Guest from your reservation than to add one, especially if it's last minute.
If you make your reservations for 6 and your 7th Guest ends up coming with you, you can click on your existing reservation on a computer or on the
My Disney Experience mobile app and modify or change your reservation. This will allow you to search for a table for 7 rather than for 6. If one is found, you can choose to cancel your original reservation and replace it with a new table for 7. If you can't find a table for 7, cancel out of your reservation and no changes will be made.
As a last resort, you can ask the host/hostess at the restaurant when you check-in if you can add an extra Guest. I have done this several times when a friend or family member has decided to join us for the day unexpectedly. In my experience, it hasn't been a problem, but it's not always guaranteed.
Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
