Hi Tom! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
We're a foodie family that loves to dine in the parks. We usually do a couple of quick service locations and one table service spot each day. It's nice to enjoy each other's company, talk about the day, and rest our feet for a little bit. If you'd like to dine at a table service location at Disneyland Resort, filter your search on the dining page for spots that
accept reservations. You can also filter for location at the top of the page. So if you're only visiting Disneyland Park and don't have a Park Hopper, for example, you'll use the drop-down menu to select "Disneyland Park" to limit your search to dining locations that accept reservations in that park.
Dining reservations typically open 60 days out from your park day, so you're looking at making pretty last-minute reservations, which might mean availability is limited. But don't worry! I've got some suggestions. First, keep checking. People's plans change and when they cancel, you can grab that last-minute reservation you're dreaming of right now. Download the
Disneyland mobile app to quickly search for reservations even while you're in the park. Once you've downloaded the app and signed into your Disneyland Resort account, tap the "+" at the bottom of the app and select "Check Dining Availability" to search for an available reservation.
Second, check for locations currently allowing Guests to join the "Walk-Up List." On the app, bring up the map. At the top, change the selection from "Attractions" to "Dining." This will bring up dining icons throughout the parks. Tap an icon to see if the location offers a
"Walk-Up List" and if the option is currently available. This is like queueing up for the next available table.
My last suggestion is to enjoy the
quick service options if you don't end up grabbing a reservation. Disneyland Resort has delicious quick service menu items and plenty of seating. My family loves Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante in Frontierland at Disneyland Park and Lucky Fortune Cookery in San Fransokyo Square in Disney California Adventure Park. You might too! You can check menus by tapping on the food icons on the map to see what appeals best to your group.
I hope you find the perfect spot to dine!
