Hello! I have a dining reservation for Storyteller’s Cafe for an early breakfast and then park reservations for DCA. We are not staying at the Grand Californian and we’re wondering what’s the best way to go about getting to Storyteller’s and then into DCA?

Hi Laura! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by our happy website to ask this great question.

I don't think there's anything more exciting than knowing you're going to The Happiest Place on Earth! I also love to start the day with a nice breakfast, so I'm glad to hear you have plans to enjoy this at Storytellers Cafe. If you will have a car, you could drive to Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. When you arrive at the gatehouse, you will be required to provide the name on the advanced dining reservation. You will receive 3 hours of free parking with validation from Storytellers Cafe. If you plan to enter Disney California Adventure Park right after your meal, you would need to move your car to one of the designated parking areas. Valet and self-parking at the hotel are only available to registered hotel guests. In order to avoid having to relocate your vehicle, I suggest using a rideshare service to arrive at the hotel for your dining reservation. After breakfast, you can use the entrance from the hotel to Disney California Adventure Park. In my experience, this is the easiest way to enjoy your dining reservation and enter the theme park afterward.

The lobby at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is also a great spot to end the day after being at the theme parks. My family loves to stop by and enjoy a snack there while talking about all of the fun we had. You could also have a rideshare service pick you up once you are ready to leave. There are benches just beyond the front entrance for guests waiting to be picked up.

I hope this information helps with your planning. I'm wishing you and your travel party a magical visit filled with great memories! Please stop by planDisney again when you're ready to plan another visit to the Disneyland Resort. We would love to help!

    See ya real soon!
    Smiles,
    Lisa
