Hello! We have a dining reservation scheduled for 8:15 at Steakhouse 71, I see that Happily Ever After Fireworks are scheduled for 8:30. Will we be able to step outside for a few minutes to view the fireworks show?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Jennifer!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are so excited to help you plan your next trip to Disney World! It looks like you will be arriving in just a few days—WOO HOO! We are counting down the days with you, and Mickey and Minnie just told me they can't wait to "See You Real Soon!"

I have to start off by saying you are going to LOVE Steakhouse 71, located at the Contemporary Resort. I had the privilege of eating here last year, and it was absolutely AH-mazing! This beautiful restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience with its nostalgic yet modern ambiance inspired by Walt Disney’s vision. The menu features delicious steaks, indulgent comfort foods, and signature cocktails, all at a more affordable price compared to other Disney steakhouses. AND...with a family of seven, I really appreciate that Mickey Mouse has provided an upscale meal without the upscale price.

Now, let's talk about your situation of wanting to see if you could leave your table to watch Happily Ever After during your reservation. While you can certainly ask, I really don't think you would want to leave the restaurant, find your way quickly to a different floor to watch the fireworks, and then make your way back. It would also be challenging for the wait staff to hold your table since other reservations need to be honored for other guests. My suggestion would be to either change your reservation to a different time or make plans to watch Happily Ever After on a different night.

Suppose you find a different reservation and want to experience this incredible fireworks extravaganza before or after your reservation. In that case, all you have to do is make your way to the fourth-floor observation deck of the Contemporary to watch with your family.

NOTE: For a dining experience that includes fireworks viewing, California Grill, also located in Disney's Contemporary, offers guests access to an observation deck with panoramic views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

As you continue to make last-minute plans, I recommend checking out the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information regarding all things Disney. Mickey and his pals have some incredible things planned, and we don't want you to miss a thing!

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way we can!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
