I have a dining reservation for 5:45pm at Magic Kingdom on an evening where the park closes at 6pm for a Special Event. Do I need a Special Event ticket to keep/access my reservation? Of can I just leave the park directly after my reservation?

    Hi Sasha! Welcome to planDisney.

Oh Boy! I am a fan of your Disney dining and park planning. Let me explain. First, because your advance dining reservation is before the official closing of Magic Kingdom Park, you do not need a ticket to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. You will be allowed to enjoy your dinner with no rush or worries. Once you finish your meal, you will be guided toward the front of the park to exit at your leisure. I will add your departure will be with much lighter crowds.

Now, as far as your park day, here is why I love you to have a Disney Park Pass Reservation to Magic Kingdom Park on a Halloween party day. Many people shy away from visiting Magic Kingdom Park on a party day because of the early closing. Last year, when I visited on Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party day, I whizzed through the park enjoying attractions and shows. My Magic Kingdom Park wish list was complete by midafternoon.

On your park day, remember to join the virtual queue at 7:00 AM to experience TRON Lightcycle / Run. If you miss your opportunity in the morning, you can try again at 1:00 PM from within Magic Kingdom Park. Alternatively, you can purchase an Individual Lighting Lane reservation.

    Keeping it Magical,
    Cindy
