Hi there, Julia. Welcome to
planDisney. I'm so glad you've stopped by to chit-chat about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. It will be here before you know it. The countdown is on!
Julia having a dining reservation at a
Walt Disney World Theme Park that your
park pass reservation is not made for will not guarantee you entry into that particular theme park if it has reached capacity and
park hopping is suspended. With that being said, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Park hopping has only been suspended a handful of times since the start of park pass reservations due to capacity reasons and that is only around the busiest times of the year like Christmas day or a special event. Your trip in April really isn't around any of those busy times so I think you should be just fine. I have made dining reservations plenty of times at a Walt Disney World Theme Park that I've hopped to later in the day and have not had any problems dining there. However, if you want to be absolutely certain this won't be a problem then your dining reservations should be matched up with your park pass reservations. That's truly the only way to guarantee entry.
If you plan on keeping your reservation in a theme park that you plan on hopping over to, keep in mind that park hopping now starts at 2:00 p.m. each day. To park hop, you must first visit the theme park with the park pass reservation first. This sort of "activates" your park hopper feature each day. To make things a little bit more convenient, complimentary park-to-park
bus transportation is currently being provided for you.
I hope this helps, Julia. If you have any other questions as you finalize your trip, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me.
Have a great trip!
