Hey there Deborah and welcome to planDisney!
It's Reservation Day! That special time in every Walt Disney World Resort vacation planner's life when it's exactly 60 days until you arrive. At this point, it's time to make those
Advanced Dining Reservations and officially square away where you and your party will be fueling up during your magical stay. I don't know about anyone else but this is always one of my favorite(and most stressful) days of the entire planning process. Those reservations go live at 6 AM EST sharp so grab your coffee and let's get to booking!
When I was making Advanced Dining Reservations for my party of 10 to enjoy on our upcoming vacation, here are a few things I figured out. Making reservations for large parties is definitely easier at some locations than others. For example, I was able to book our brunch at
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' in
Disney Springs with no problems. However, our lunch at Y
ak & Yeti Restaurant proved a little more difficult. I could only book a reservation for a party of 5. But I learned a pretty sweet hack that actually works out for us. I made reservations for half of my party via my own
My Disney Experience account. I booked the other half through my mom's account. Both of them are booked for the same time slot or within a few minutes of each other. We plan on arriving a little early at the restaurant and asking the Cast Members if we can be seated together or at least near each other. While there are no guarantees, with a little faith, trust, and pixie dust they'll be able to help y'all out.
Deborah, I hope my little dining tip helps to make your vacation a magical one. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
ask me. Now go forth and book those meals!
Happy planning!
Taylor
