Hiya, Crystal! Welcome to planDisney.
At this time, Guests with date-based theme park tickets do not need
Theme Park Reservations to enter the theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort. However, Guests using Annual Passes, student group tickets, Sports and Convention tickets, Disney Military Salute Tickets, or other non-date-based tickets will need to make a Theme Park Reservation for each day they'd like to visit a park. Currently, the only exception to this would be if you are an
Annual Passholder visiting after 2 p.m. (except for Magic Kingdom Park on weekends) or visiting on a
Good-to-Go Day, where no reservations are required for Annual Passholders (blockout dates still apply for both).
If your theme park ticket requires a Theme Park Reservation, you
must have one to enter Magic Kingdom Park and experience the restaurant. I would suggest you either check back to see if availability opens up or, if not, make alternate plans. Just ensure that you cancel your dining reservation within the stated timeframe, or you will be charged for a no-show per the
restaurant's cancellation policy.
Now, I just checked the
Annual Passholder Admission Calendar, and at the time of writing this answer, there is availability for all theme parks on and around October 17, 2024. So, if you are an Annual Passholder (and it's not a blockout date), you should be able to make a Theme Park Reservation for Magic Kingdom Park at this time. But if not, if it's a weekday and your dining reservation is after 2 p.m., you should be able to enter Magic Kingdom Park without a Theme Park Reservation as an Annual Passholder (not including blockout dates).
If all else fails and you must cancel your dining reservation, see if there's availability for another day of your trip for you to visit Magic Kingdom Park and enjoy this restaurant. When Guests cancel their dining reservations, they are usually made available for others to book, so browsing your
My Disney Experience mobile app may reveal another dining time on a day when you
can get a Theme Park Reservation for that park. Alternatively, if you're in Magic Kingdom Park on a different day, check to see if the restaurant is using the
Mobile Dine Walk-up Option. If that's the case, you might get lucky and not even need an advanced dining reservation to enjoy it. And, of course, there are great restaurants in each of the theme parks, so you're bound to find a restaurant that is delightful at whatever park you are visiting. Some favorites are
Le Cellier Steakhouse in EPCOT,
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater in Disney's Hollywood Studios, and
Nomad Lounge in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, which
only offers a waitlist option, so there's no need to worry about finding a reservation!
Crystal, enjoy all of your culinary experiences at the resort! If you have any other questions,
I'll be here for you!
Eat the good stuff,
Matt
