Welcome to planDisney, Julia. I'm so glad you stopped by! It looks like your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just about to begin. That's super exciting!

Liberty Tree Tavern is one of my family's favorite restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort. We love the hearty, homestyle, Thanksgiving-esque feast and the colonial atmosphere. It's become a yearly must-do for my husband and sons! You ask an excellent question, but you needn't worry. Your reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern will not be impacted by Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and you will not be rushed to leave the restaurant by the time the event starts at 7:00 PM. When you are ready to leave Liberty Tree Tavern (stuffed, I'm sure!) you'll be directed by a Cast Member to exit the park since you won't be wearing an event wristband. My husband and sons usually leave Liberty Tree Tavern so uncomfortably full that they're eager to get back to our Disney Resort hotel to relax, so I think leaving Magic Kingdom Park after your reservation is the perfect plan!
